Unable to delete Macintosh HD - Data

I got a MacBook Pro which was previously used by another user. As part of the transfer, I was cleaning up data under my IT team's guidance. I was successfully able to erase Macintosh HD Volume. But, when I am trying to erase 'Macintosh HD - Data', It asks for the previous owner's apple ID. We do not have the Apple Id password of the previous employee. However we have all the admin credentials for this machien. How can I erase the folder?

Hi Madhan_0695,

The Macintosh HD - Data volume should actually be outright deleted. Instead of erasing it, select it, then click the (-) button.

In regards to the Apple ID prompt, that is Activation Lock at work. Unfortunately, without the Apple ID password of the previous employee, you will need to contact Apple with proof of purchase in order to get this lock removed: https://al-support.apple.com/#/kbase
