Wired internet stopped working after putting Macbook to sleep

Hi all, I've recently made the move from PC to Mac and went for a MacBook Pro 14, I've bought a CalDigit TS4 dock and set it up yesterday and was very happy, everything was working perfectly and I was getting wired download speeds around 530Mbps (I pay for 500).

I put the MacBook to sleep last night and when I came back to it this morning the wired internet doesn't seem to be working and when I go into network preferences there's a message saying - Thunderbolt Ethernet Slot 2 has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the internet.

I tried restarting the MacBook which didn't fix the issue, does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried without the dock? Macs are "funny" about docks and hubs.
