Apple 4K TV Remote Power on/off Marantz AVR's

Does the new Apple TV work with the Marantz SR6014 AVR for power on/off? I'm having issues with the power button on the Apple remote powering down/up all components. HDMI signaling is turned on for comms.

If the CEC function is activated, then the Apple TV uses standardized CEC signals to send requests to HDMI connected devices. What those other devices do wth that, is beyond the control of the signal sending device.

Control your TV or receiver with your Apple TV Remote - Apple Support

Verify that CEC is activated on all devices:

- On Apple TV: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Control TVs and Receivers﹥On

- On other devices: see their manuals.

Try putting the Apple TV to sleep through Control Center, then let it cascade to other HDMI connected devices.

The power button is meant to send an additional IR signal to TVs (that may not support CEC), not other devices. If needed, hold it a bit longer to have it take effect. I believe it would work in combination with CEC.

HDMI signaling is turned on for comms.

Does that refer to CEC?

Just to be sure: is the receiver HDMI connected? CEC doesn’t work over optical or coax or RCA.

Does the Marantz manuals state that it supports being set to standby mode by HDMI connected devices? If you can’t infer this from the manual, then contact Marantz Support.
