Why does apple music always say "sign-in required"?

Every time I open the application, the notification pops up with log-in boxes. I click "cancel", and the pop-up appears 5 or 6 more times before it finally goes away. And if I leave the application open for a long time, the same pop-up appears over and over and over again.

I don't want to "sign-in". I have never used the "store" and never will. I will never register with the 70-million streaming song service or whatever it is.

I create my own music and only use the software to play my own music files. I don't need to "sign-in" for that, and I am getting sick of this pop-up always showing up.

I disabled the "store" in my "preferences", yet the pop-up still harasses me.

How can I disable this "sign-in required" pop-up so it never shows up again? I am NEVER going to "sign-in" through that software.

Wondering if the sign-in may be for your Apple ID account.

I might be wrong, but it seems that signing in to your Apple ID may be needed, to stop the "Sign-in" pop-up.

Seems we need to be signed in with our own Apple ID in order to use FaceTime, Apple Music, Messages, App Store etc.,

so if you are not signed in to your Apple ID on your device, you might keep getting the prompt.

When you are signed in to your Apple ID, hopefully, you should no longer see the pop-up requesting sign-in.

(NB: If signing in to your Apple ID links (ticks) some of your apps to sync with iCloud, you can "untick" them if need be. )
