how do i fix self assigned IP on iMac
My iMac shows that it is using a self assigned IP and cannot access the Internet. I connect via WiFi to our router.

Try to go to recovery and resetting the Mac to a fresh clean start of macOS and try connecting the internet or using the WLAN cable from router to Mac or restart your router Hope this helps! :D

Oops, no. Since all other devices were still linked, I assumed the problem was on the iMac.
