Studio Display & Bridge Stone Pro?
Hello,
I own and use a Studio Display as my primary driver and process of charging my MacBook Pro when connected to it. However, sometimes on the MacBook accessing some of the ports or needing to get a adapter out for USB-A memory sticks adds to a small challenge.
So I've been evaluating getting a Bride Stone Pro (Thunderbolt 4) dock to also put under my studio display.
My concern is if the Studio Display and Bridge Stone Pro are both connected and both offer Power Delivery (PD) will this cause any issues or problems? I'm not fully familiar with the PD process and how the MacBook would choose its charging source.
My primary goals of a dock otherwise would be to have a full functioning Ethernet Adapter for hard wire connectivity to my network and easy access to USB-C and USB-A ports. I really don't need any display (VGA, HDMI or Display Ports). My goals are that of offering just quicker and more stationary items.
I like the Brydge product for the air circulation and shape, it seems like it would stay in place versus that of a small dock that would be 1/3 or up to 2/3 the cost of the Bridge Stone Pro product. So that's why I'm evaluating it for the ports and ease of expandability with less extra items on the main device. I most likely wouldn't use the adapters for the displays and I think only one item is PD so I could probably just connect it via one of the other thunderbolt 4 ports.
Just wondering what others do, concerns or warnings I should take into consideration.
Thanks
