Bootable usb for macOS sierra

Hi.

reading through the replies on this I managed to get the commands typed in, ray.

the original link had shortened text so did not work.

the second command, for the createinstallmedia part, and printed

"/Application/install does not appear to be a valid OS installer application.

I followed the previous part to create OS Sierra in/Applications and it showed up there.

any help would be appreciated.
