iPhone Connected to Wifi Without Permission

Is it possible for the iPad to automatically share wifi password with my iPhone when I have wifi turned off on the phone and I never gave it permission to? Found my iphone connected to my wifi and I have never connected it before, intentionally keeping it cell service only. I also find the wifi on the iPhone turns itself on all the time, after I turn it off, and it says it will remain off until tomorrow.

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15

  1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap next to the network name.
  3. Make sure that Auto-Join is OFF

Use captive Wi-Fi networks on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

That is helpful. It does not clear up why my iPhone connected to my wifi network, however. I never signed into my wifi with my iPhone. So it was not a known network on the phone. I did sign into my wifi with the iPad. I never gave permission anywhere for my iPad to share credentials with my iPhone. Auto-join seems to be on though.
