Peacock Premium on AppleTV

I have had issues logging into Peacock Premium through Apple TV. I found that you cannot run the subscription through your Apple account. It does not convey the premium account upgrade to Peacock. In order to upgrade to Peacock Premium you need to pay for it directly through Peacock.

The Peacock TV app should allow you to

sign in with existing accounts from subscribing with Peacock directly,
sign up for Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus as in-app purchase (on your Apple ID),
link the subscription from one of your other Apple devices, as started with in-app purchase, through a “Restore Purchases” option, if not recognized automatically.
