unable to change my MacBook password using apple id.

actually m facing a problem resetting my MacBook password with my apple id. my apple id and password which works fine. I removed MacBook battery and directly connected with the charger and then I try to change my password it show an error to connect iCloud.

Can't sign in to Apple ID on MacBook I enter my Apple ID password on my MacBook and it says it’s incorrect, even though it’s correct. I tried to change my Apple ID password and couldn't log in again on my MacBook. What to do? I have a MacBook 13 pro 2014 running MacOs X
