Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

App Store download stuck on "Waiting..."

I am trying to download GarageBand from the Mac App Store. The download has been stuck on "Waiting..." for a while. I restarted the computer, which didn't work, so I also did a new install of macOS, but the issue persists. I seem to also be having a problem downloading other apps from the App Store. Any idea as to what could be causing it?

Contact Apple Support:

If you're not getting a successful download, then . contact Apple, requesting to speak with iTunes Store Staff. If need be, perform a screensharing session with them, so they can see this from your perspective.

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
