Bang & Olufsen Speaker Bluetooth

Hello,

I'm trying to link ( pair ) a Beosound Explore 'Bang & Olufsen' speaker to a desktop mac.

I've tried this on three macs ( two iMacs and a MacBook Pro ) and the speaker is not recognised.

( I realise it’s a travel speaker, but hoped it would work ‘out of the box’ inside as well as outside? )

I contacted B&O and they said they've never heard of this issue... but please purchase a third party dongle ( BT-W3 from Creative ) and it should work perfectly.

Does anyone know anything about this… do you have B&O speakers and have no problem pairing them up to your desktop, am I doing something wrong?

I use Bluetooth quite a bit and haven’t had any issues previously?

The speaker pairs quickly and without any errors on my phone… but it does.

say that “Works with iPhone” on the outer box.

With many thanks for your time and patience.

Thank you for replying - The speaker can be connected through the B&O app, as well as Bluetooth ( on the phone )

One of the features of the Beosound Explore is multiple connections.

Two 'phones' can be simultaneously connected and you can weave between playing tracks on either phone.

I can't see how the app could or would... nullify any other connection possibility?

I really want to find someone that has a B&O speaker attached to a Mac... as I'm surprised that no member of the B&O,

after-sales representatives has ever paired one of their speakers to a mac before, or even been asked this question?
