I have an ASUS PA329CV that will not run on USB C on my Mac Mini. It worked yesterday but not today. ASUS was baffled. Anyone have any advice the usb C cable is brand new and came with the monitor.

Like most display manufactures, they toss cheap-o cables in the box.

You have several aftermarket cable options with that display.

  1. A Premium Certified HDMI to HDMI cable.
  2. A Premium TB/USB-C to TB/USB-C cable.
  3. A TB/USB-C to DisplayPort cable.

Personally I would go with the last, a TB/USB-C to DisplayPort cable.

Both arrived today. A new TB/USB-C to Display Port cable. It worked but did not enable any of the 5 usb's on the monitor. I also tried a new USB-C to USB-C however the monitor failed to recognize the connection. I've gone back to hdmi from the mini to the monitor and now looking for a hub to buy and attach to my mac mini. So much for a "clean" look. I'll see if ASUS support gets back to me. They escalated the problem although it seems to be pretty common so I'm not sure why I am still waiting after 5 days. Thanks again for your help.
