Removing open windows hidden behind

I am having difficulty finding out how to remove open windows.

Would that be causing my IPad to be very slow?

iPad, iPadOS 15

Your iPad has only those apps active and showing, and background app activity is limited. Once an app goes into the background, its activity is limited, and iPadOS will quit the app when resources are needed.

Here is how multitasking works for the apps in the foreground:

Here is how to close an app, though there is little need to do so as iPadOS will typically manage apps in the background for you:

Usual reasons for an iPad being slow can be a foreground app being particularly busy, or an iPad insufficient for current app activities, or some other issue such as a slow network connection.

Which iPad, what has happened, have you tried a reboot, what more information can you provide on what you’re encountering?
