Too many passcode attempt

Hi I have an old unpaired apple watch series 3 that says too many passcode attempts.

I tried these steps

connecting it to a charger,
holding the side button until I see the power off display
Press and hold crown: But it goes back to charging display.

Your suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Bad passcode attempts while on the charger This morning, I woke up , took my Apple Watch Ultra off my wrist and put it in the charger. I then got up, got ready for work and washed a few dishes. I’m guessing the watch was sitting in the charger for about 45 minutes to an hour. I returned to the watch and put it on my wrist. While doing so, I saw the message that I had typed in my passcode wrong too many times and to wait 44 minutes before trying again. I never even attempted to unlock the watch. I simply grabbed it from the charger and fastened it on my wrist. This has been gaining repeatedly since I got the watch. It never happened with my Series 3. Something is going on that’s triggering the bad passcode detection, and it’s not someone actually typing in a bad passcode. No kids around. No Super pets.

Apple Watch wrong passcode while charging While my watch sits on the charging stand, it keeps trying to unlock itself. After too many attempts it gets locked. No one else has access to the watch. It just starts doing it while it's on the charger with no one touching it.

? ONLY Passcode Screen showing up? I have not used my watch for a few months & charged it, now the screen is asking for a PW. But, it will only except 4 numbers NO letters... My PW has more of each. It will not give me any other screen; I don't know what to do. I have turned it off for 24 hours, put it on the charger for 24 hours and nothing has changed. The PW works because I have logged into the apple website with no problem and it showed me where my is located. I'm confused, any & all help will be appreciated.
