Flexgate screen issue

when opening our MacBook Pro 13,3 ', model 2018 the screen turns into pink columns after opening it for more than 10 cm. (So when you open the screen just a tiny little bit, you can see the login screen, but when you open it further, the screen becomes pink)

After googling and YouTubing around, I see that many thousands of people have the same problem. We got this problem after 2 and half year after purchase. Apple says it is without guarantee and fixing it would cost around 800 euro.

How can we solve this and what is position of Apple here? It seems that this is a flaw in the design and the consumer should not be treated that way.
