Airpods Max clicking in right ear cup

Hi,

I have an issue with my airpods max. When i walk around, turn my head, or move in general with the headphones on I can hear a clicking in the right ear cup. It happens both with transparency mode on and off but easiest to hear with transparency mode on.

I have tried a few times to do a hard reset to fix it but no luck.

I have tested with different devices as the audio source and the issue still persists.

Is this a known or recognized issue by apple? Will they fix my headphones? I really like the noise cancelling aspect of the headphones and often wear them without playing any music just for the silence they provide. When no music is playing and I hear the subtle clicking in the background it is so frustrating.

Please help me! what is wrong with my $500 headphones!!!

Hey ColexThomas20,

We understand wanting to get to the bottom of that crackling noise you're hearing, and it's good to know this happen with multiple devices too. You mention hard resetting them. Are these the steps that you followed: How to reset your AirPods Max - Apple Support

If not, go through that process now as resetting them to can resolve many odd issues, such as sound issues. Let us know how it goes.
