Occurrence of a Corroded Battery:

It's an intermittent occurrence, and is commonly reported on these forums. So, I'd return it.

Return this to the Seller:

A Swollen Battery, Perhaps?:

The screen may lifting due to due to a corroding battery, which is a health hazard. So, I'd say return it. You have 14 days to do so. The seller should have known better, prior to selling it to you.

You can return it within 14 days of purchase for a refund. Being that new, that is what I would do.

That looks to me to be a small imperfection, a ripple as it were, in the plastic cover piece.
