Studio Displays stop playing sound after 2-5 seconds
I have a Mac Pro (2019) with two Studio Displays. I bought the two Studio Displays as soon as they became available and they have worked well until now. Without warning, the sound began cutting out after 2-5 seconds. If I switch to the speaker on the second Studio Display, the same thing happens. However, when I use the native speaker in the Mac Pro instead of the Studio Display speakers, the sound is played properly.
I updated my OS to macOS Monterey 12.5 after this problem arose, but the update had no effect on the sound problem. I also tried disconnecting the two Studio Displays from the Mac Pro and waiting for about 40 minutes, as has been recommended elsewhere in this forum. When I reconnected them the problem was still there.
My firmware for the two Studio Displays is 15.5, Build 19F77. This was the version before I updated the OS and apparently the OS update had no effect on the firmware since I have the same version now, post update.
Any help to rectify this problem will be much appreciated.
