Finder not responding

I keep having problems where Finder doesn’t respond and the mouse cursor just spins indefinitely. I reinstalled the OS, and it worked for a little while and then a few hours later reverted back. It happens mostly when we try to save a file. Anyone experience this?

There could be an issue with the drive. Run First Aid: Repair a disk using Disk Utility on Mac - Apple Support
