How do I backup router settings? Aiport

You will use the AirPort Utility to do this, as follows:


  1. Run the AirPort Utility (APU).
  2. Select your AirPort base station, and then, select Edit.
  3. From the utility's menu bar, select File > Export Configuration File...
  4. Enter a desired name or leave the current base station name.
  5. Note where it will be saved. By default, it should be the Desktop.
  6. You can elect to encrypt it is you so wish.
  7. Click on Save.
