M1 Max Bad Performance in Premiere Pro - export for a 10 minutes 4k timeline I get 35 minutes of export time..

I got a M1 Max with 32 gb of ram and it was a beast. Since 1 month ago my performance in editing became awful, getting huge export times in premiere pro and my processor doesnt even heating above 70 degrees. I got 6 hours for a 35 minutes 4k timeline or 2-3 hours for a 15-20 minutes 4k timeline.

Also, I cant edit 4k in Premiere Pro smoothly if I dont create proxies. I would have choppy and very laggy playback.

Since this is a new thing, what might you have changed to precipitate it?

Do you have any AV, helper, fixer or optimizer apps installed? If so, you should remove them all as they often disrupt system processes.

Have you restarted? If not do so and retest. If that doesn't help, start in safe mode and let it sit for a few minutes then restart normally and retest. Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support (IE)

If all else fails, consider reinstalling you OS. A reinstallation doesn't touch apps, data or settings.
