IOS 15.6 can’t hear unless on speaker

After updating to ios 15.6, when receiving a call, the earpiece doesnt work and can only hear through the speaker

This is happening to me! I've done all the troubleshooting steps. I've never had a problem until the ios 16 updates. As of October 12, 2022, I can hear nothing out of the ear piece speaker. Everything else works fine.

These phones are way too expensive to be impaired by updates, and I should not have to pay Apple to fix what they destroyed.

Why haven’t they made an update to fix this? Do they often have bad updates? This is my first iPhone, and I’m not impressed so far.

I have no idea but this is the first time its been this bad. Ive contacted support and i hope they raise the issue cause its extremely frustrating.

That is exactly what happened to me with my iphone 12 pro. And even with the new update of 15.6.1 the issue hasnt been solved and i have no idea how long till they realise this and sort it out.

Hey, my mother in law is currently experiencing the same issue. iOS 16 hasn’t fixed it. Has it been fixed in15.7 or iOS 16 for anyone?

I have the same issue after updating my iPhone 12pro to iOS 16. None of the trouble shooting steps work. Yersterday before the iOS update everything was working fine.
