Hi Riah_u,

However what ultimately matters is that the iPhone is fully functional through the screen and cameras, and there is no damage that can hinder or cause harm to the phone. Therefore, it is likely that your iPhone will take no hit in trade value when you initiate the request.

Not quite- to receive maximum trade-in value, a certain set of criteria must be met.

  • It must turn on and function normally
  • All the buttons must work
  • The cameras must work and all lenses must be free of damage
  • The body must be free of dents and scratches
  • The touchscreen and back glass must be undamaged
  • The display must be free from distortion, lines, and black or white spots.

Hi Riah_u,

When starting a trade in request either online or at your physical Apple store, you will have to disclose the actual condition of your iPhone through every facet. However what ultimately matters is that the iPhone is fully functional through the screen and cameras, and there is no damage that can hinder or cause harm to the phone. Therefore, it is likely that your iPhone will take no hit in trade value when you initiate the request.
