any way to toggle Mac's function keys on and off with a keyboard shortcut?

Does anyone know of a Monterey-compatible plugin or program that allows you to toggle Mac's function keys on and off with a keyboard shortcut? Function Flip was a great extension that worked perfectly. But it hasn't been updated since 2017 and no longer works, at least not in Monterey or Big Sur. I'm currently using Keyboard Maestro as a workaround. But Maestro isn't as good as Function Flip, since FF could toggle function keys with a simple KB shortcut without going into any menus. Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.
