Disk Recovery ended up with a Globe exclamation point

Item:

MacBook Pro i5 2.7GHz 13" (Early 2015) 256GB SSD


The trade in instructions weren’t clear and I ended up erasing everything including the software. I followed the instructions on here. Holding Command + R didn’t work. It didn’t ask to join a WiFi network either. The spinning globe lasts for about a minute and then I get this error code:

-200xF errors in Internet Recovery mean your internet connection is insufficient in some way.


  • Try switching to an Ethernet cable if you can.
  • Restart your router.
  • Try booting from a bootable clone if you have one.
