Printer won't print from MacBook Pro

I had that problem with Canon after one week, took back printer and got HP. Same thing has happened (no print), but this time because printer unable to connect because it detected my network on four of the channels available to 5Ghz: 44, 149, 1, 44 (this time with a different , it looks like a Mac address); How do I narrow down the choice of channels. And why can't the printer just nail the first one it sees?

Hi,

It would help to know the exact HP printer model (and the type of router).

Is it one of the printers listed as supported in About AirPrint - Apple Support? If so, you should be able to use it without having to install drivers, provided that the printer and the MacBook Pro are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

What happens if you use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) for the connection (if supported by the printer and the router)?
