IPhone 6 Recovery Issues

My IPhone 6 battery got bad and I could only get to replace it the following day but when a new battery was installed the phone did not come on again. Stuck on Apple logo. Every attempt to recover has failed with various error meassages. (-1), (4013), (17) is this a lost cause?

What is error 4042 when trying to restore iphone - apple logo blinking on and off when connected to outlet? Symptom: At first my phone screen was completely black. then I plugged it into a charger from an outlet and the apple logo would appear than disappear. Then I tried all the 'fixes' to upgrade and restore through itunes. no help at all. Being a computer geek by trade, looking at the symptoms and what little information I could find about what can prevent an iphone from rebooting I took a guess that it was the battery or the port. Turns out it was the battery. So if you are having this issue, I would suggest first calling around to see what repair places charge to replace a battery ( I paid $25 to have an iphone 6s battery replaced) and then going to the one that is reasonable. FYI - they might try to tell you it's not the battery like I was told, but ask if they can at least attempt the battery install. If it's not the battery, they can take it right back out and if they charge you anything at all it shouldn't be more than $5 to test out the theory. however, it could very well fix your problem. I couldn't get any answers from apple support and most iphone fix it places was telling me the phone was dead, there was problems with some chips, the circuit board was bad, etc.... Hope this helps some of the people who like me was banging my head against the wall trying to find a solution.

iPhone 12 Pro stuck in boot loop/not charging My iPhone 12 Pro is currently dead and wont even display the depleted battery logo when I press the side button. When I plug it in, I get stuck in an endless boot loop the entire time it's plugged in. I've tried different charging cables and I have the same issue. I've tried force restarting while it's "booting up" and it sends me to recovery mode. I can force restart from there and it actually starts to boot up and sends me to the home screen, but my battery shows 1% and no lightning bolt even though it's plugged in. It will stay alive for about 10 seconds then dies and goes back to the boot loop. I've repeated the whole process a few times but I'm stuck here.

Who replaced the battery? Sounds like they borked your phone in the process.

It’s unlikely they are an “authorized” Apple Service provider…

Take it back to them and ask them to make it right.

Then they have rendered your phone untouchable by Apple.

They also did not install a genuine Apple battery. At least not a new one. Apple does not sell iPhone parts to unauthorized shops.

Really? So I should just buy another phone. At the rate of our Naira to dollar at the moment there are cars cheaper than Iphones

Pretty much. Blame the service provider if they did not make it clear to you that having them service it would forfeit any rights to have it serviced by Apple.
