Why does my watch and that of my niece show different miles covered when we walk side by side for same amount of time?

2 Apple Watch ultra distance discrepancies My partner and I purchased 2 Apple Watch ultra’s 3 weeks ago and have noticed some marked discrepancies in the outdoor wall measurements. We have a daily walk that we cover each morning, walking side by side and obviously covering the same distance and path. At the end of the walk, my watch states 7.5km and here’s reads 6.4km. Neither of us have our phones with us while walking and the watches have the same watch OS version. Thougts?

How can I change my activity to miles on my Apple Watch? I’ve looked at all the help and check my units settings etc but my activity on my watch series 9 shows km and my phone is miles. I want miles on my watch. According to all the help, my watch is set correctly via the watch app and the health app. Any help would be great. Outdoor cycle distance not counting towards distance gone daily I have a question about outdoor cycling. My Apple Watch records everything about my ride; distance, calories time ect. I am wondering why the distance I ride doesn’t count toward my “daily distance”. The time and calories count toward daily time/calories, but not the mileage. This doesn’t happen with an outdoor walk jusy cycle. Any advice?
