Sidecar without Apple ID - is this possible?

Hi There,

I can't seem to figure out how to use sidecar without an apple ID. I want to use my ipad as a second monitor with my work setup, however I work for a big tech company with VPN and I am not authorized to sign into my Apple ID on the macbook. All devices are 2022.

How do I use sidecar on an iPad with a different iCloud account(e.g. personal iPad with work mbp)? I often carry an MBP from my employer, and an iPad Pro for my personal use. When I'm working I'd like to use the iPad as a 2nd display through sidecar. How do I accomplish this when the devices are on two different iCloud accounts?

Use iPad as second monitor without sidecar I have a MacBook Pro for my work laptop and will be travelling a lot next year so I’d like to buy an iPad to use as a second screen (and for personal use). Given I cannot log into an Apple ID on my work laptop, sidecar does not work. Is there an option to do an HDMI connection with an iPad to act solely as an external monitor? Since this is a work laptop, I can’t download apps like Duo either.
