Can I output video created in iMovie from iPhone to TV via HDMI adapter and cables?

Can I output video created in iMovie from iPhone to TV via HDMI adapter and cables? I want to get audio and sound sent through an AV4K receiver to the TV. I have the Lightning to HDMI adapter. I get video on TV but not sound. I also tried daisy chaining a sound/lightning adapter (sound out to 1/8 to receiver) and lightning/HDMI adapter thru receiver. Goes to AirPlay on receiver but no video.
