Some of my email looks like gibberish in my phone. Luckily still ok in desktop webmail. Tried quit and restart mail, cache cleared and rebooted phone, no improvement with any of this. Just updated to 15.6 yesterday. Hadn’t looked at these mail messages for a 2 days, so can’t say for sure the cause is the update. Was about to update iPad but held off and mail looks fine still.

You didn't mention if you're using the Apple Mail app, or a third-party app. If using a third-party app, you'll want to verify that the app has been updated. App developers usually release updates for their apps after iOS updates.

If using the Apple Mail app, try force closing it and see if reopening gives you readable content.
