photo library won't load after monterey 12.5 update

Please read the following user tip and restate your question/problem in detail:

Try the following;

1 - As a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it? This tells us if the problem is limited to your current library or is more wide spread.

2 - Log into a new, basic, admin user account, Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac,  repeat #1 above and test to see if the problem persists. This tells us if the problem is limited to your user account or is system wide.

Try launching your problem library with the Option+Command keys held down and run a repair on the library.

Where is your library stored? If on an external drive, what is the format?

Is the location synced with any cloud service, or networked location?

Have you run any clean up/speed up/optimiser apps? Or duplicate removal apps?
