Monterey 12.5 restarts

Apple - please fix your MacOS update install process. Monterey 12.5 took not one, not two, but FIVE (!) restarts to finally finish installing. Four times I watched a progress bar move, and four times it finished, only to perform another restart. That's insane.

Mac OS Monterey Update Stuck I tried to update to Monterey (I forget which version) two nights ago, and has been “updating” since. The update is stuck - black screen with apple logo and progress bar about 1/3 of the way across. Every few seconds the screen goes black, then the apple logo and progress bar reappear until the progress bar is about 1/3 of the way complete again, and then the screen goes black and the cycle repeats. I can power off my Mac, but when I power back on, it resumes the same cycle. Not sure how to stop the update, and get back to being able to use my Mac again - please advise!

OS Update stuck on "Less than a minute remaining..." I'm updating from Catalina to Monterey upon a Mac Mini 2014 (Late) device, it's reached the final stage but appears to be stuck now on the message "Less than a minute remaining..." Anyone else seen this ? Should I just leave it be, or power-cycle the box ? And can I recover in that case ? I have another Mac Mini upgraded to Monterey without any issues - that that uses an SSD rather than M.2 adapter. Also, the unit is becoming rather .. hot to touch.

macOS 13.6 Ventura update WON’T install no matter what troubleshooting steps I’ve taken. macOS 13.6 Ventura update isn’t installing. I’ve tried repairing my disc in Recovery Mode. I’ve booted and installed the update in Safe Mode. I’ve done the PRAM/NVRAM reset. Absolutely NOTHING has worked. Every time I install it goes through the motions of downloading/installing then upon restart the update is still pops up as if it hasn’t installed at all. Ready to pull my hair out…. Apple, please help!

This is completely normal. When installing the update, the progress bar will fill up, then restart, several times. It's not resetting the progress it's made, just updating normally.

I have no idea if that is normal, but I can’t see why it would it matter.
