Hi elma96,

There is no harm in leaving your Mac connected to power indefinitely. If you choose to do this though, make sure that:

• The current charge on the battery is 80% or lower, and

• Your Mac is running appropriate software to prevent the battery from charging over 80% except when you request it. macOS has a built-in option available for this (in System Preferences -> Battery -> Battery -> Optimized Battery Charging), but it relies on algorithms to predict your schedule and charges to 100% when it thinks you're going to disconnect your Mac from power. I've chosen to use Aldente instead, as it lets me fully control when I want to charge to full capacity.
