What are the best Hub options for 2022 M2 MacBook Air?

I always buy Ugreen ( I don`t work for them or have any ties to them). They are rock solid and as good or better than the overhyped over-priced alternatives. Up to now I have plugged the following into my M2: usb wired mouse, a windows LaCie 500 GB drive as well as a new Adata 1TB HDD formatted for Time Machine and my new my new CoolerTek (there is no fan on the M2) cooling pad. It adapted them all natively, and transfer speeds are all maxed out. Make sure you get the c model. They have various configurations depending on your needs. I took the simple 4 port one.

"Best" for you depends on your budget, the types of devices you will be using, and the type of performance you require.
