iPhone filling up with system data

How is that my iPhone storage is filled up with 40GB system data within one week of system reset

Contact Apple Support:

If this is a consistent occurrence, then you should get this serviced. As you might suspect, no one here would know the reason for this occurrence, of course. So, contact Apple Support. They’ll know why this occurred and will run you right through the fix. If need be, perform a screensharing session with them, so they can se this firsthand, from your perspective.

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as necessary
  • Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

How to Clear System Data:

System Data (formerly called "Other"), basically contains unnecessary files such as caches that are used for system ease of use - all of which gather over time. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use.  Use my User Tip: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip
