Time Machine Capsule
I have 2 Macs running 1:1 two Wi-Fi networks supported by 2 Airport Time Machine Capsules for many years without problems.
I have been receiving a message on one mac over this past week that Time Machine can’t connect to the backup disk. “The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 64.)”
I opened the Airport Utility and observed the graphic overview only lists 1 of 2 Time capsules. I clicked the list for Other Wi-Fi Devices and nothing is listed.
I clicked the Time Machine Icon on the menubar at the top to access Time Machine preferences. I clicked “select backup disk” next window shows both backup disks. I selected the disk to use, the connecting to: window opened and after a couple of minutes a window Stating “ there was a problem connecting to the server #1) it also says “the server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check your server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.”
Now I know this Airport Time Machine capsule is connected because my Apple TV in front is connected by WI-Fi and playing at the time of this posting. Is this an Airport issue or a time capsule issue?
I thought to erase, however the graphical view only shows 1 Airport time capsule, not the one to be erased. How shall I proceed? Thank you.
