Use Apple TV Bluetooth audio while streaming from iPad.

Recently upgraded my Apple TV and was disappointed that there was no audio out to connect to my sound system. Now when I stream from my iPad to Apple TV there doesn’t appear to be any way to get the audio to go to the sound system. When streaming from the internet directly to the Apple TV, e.g. Netflix or YouTube, I have no issues using the sound system over Bluetooth.

is there any way to resolve this?

Your AppleTV has an HDMI output that carries both digital video and sound. This should be connected to the HDMI input of your AV Amp - the HDMI output from which you connect to the TV/Monitor.

If your Amp does not have an HDMI connection, you’ll instead connect the AppleTV directly to your TV/Monitor. Most quality TVs will have one or more audio outputs - most commonly either an optical TOSlink connection, and/or an analogue two-channel RCA connection to connect to an associated Amplifier.
