transferring data to new iPhone

When I did turn it on, I saw that I now have some important notes missing, and some text messages that are missing recent conversations, and I have old settings on my alarm clock that I deleted weeks ago. So, some info is missing and some deleted information is back.

How do I fix this?

I have Googled the problem so much that I'm too confused to continue. I haven't tried any suggestions because I'm too scared to start - I don't even know the language so I could easily make a huge mistake.

If someone has some help, please, speak to me like I barely know how to turn on my phone. Dumb it down to the real basics. Please.
