Cannot Update Firmware on Magsafe Battery Pack

Hi, I'm trying to update the firmware on my Magsafe Battery Pack so that I can get the fast charging. It is current on version 2.0.2c.0.

I have left the battery on my phone for a few hours and it doesn't seem to update it. I have tried restarting my iPhone and that hasn't helped. I understand that it can take a week(!) to update in this way, but I don't really want to carry the battery around connected to my phone for a week!

I have connected it via a USB-C/Lightning cable to my iPad Pro, and left it connected all day, and it doesn't update it. I have tried restarting my iPad and that doesn't help.

I don't have a mac to use.

We understand that you're attempting to update your MagSafe Battery Pack to the latest firmware, but the update hasn't completed yet.

You are correct that it can take up to a week in order to complete the update process. If you're not able to leave your MagSafe Battery Pack connected consistently to your iPhone for that long, are you able to leave it connected to your iPad until the firmware has updated?
