F1 TV app not working

I purchased the F1 TV app through the Apple Store. The full year price, NOT monthly.

One day the app stopped working saying I don’t have a subscription. I contacted the F1 app, and they said they can’t see my subscription since it was purchased through the App Store and to contact apple. So I call apple and they say they don’t understand why it’s not syncing and working but since it’s past two months of purchase they can’t refund me!! Which is SUCH a scam, because if you purchase something for the whole year, they need to be able to honor your purchase for the whole year to make sure it works! So now I’ve not only paid for the whole year subscription but now paying monthly since they can’t see the year purchase. To me this is a scam on apples part.

Has anyone had a similar issue with this app or with a yearly purchase from apple?

On what device do you have the F1 TV app that isn’t working?

Is your F1 subscription listed as active in your subscriptions overview? See your subscriptions overview - Apple

If the link between your active subscriptions and specific apps on Apple devices isn’t recognized, then look for a “Restore purchase” option, often near where you can sign in or sign up in an app.

In-app subscriptions on Apple devices are tied to the Apple ID account that made the purchase. Verify that this account is active on this device or is switched active on devices that allow for multiple accounts.

I would advise to contact Apple Support again, to bring it back to functioning. Escalate to a higher tier if needed.

If you’re only looking to be refunded, then I don’t see that happening in the described situation, but that decision is up to the Support staff.

I’m having the exact same issue. I think the issue lies with f1. They’re telling me they never got the payment form Apple but how comes I was allowed access for 4 months if they didn’t? So frustrating

F1 app was purchased on my iPhone and use don my iPhone

f1 app IS listed as active on my subscriptions

restore purchase isn’t working because it says app isn’t active and then gives an error message

which is why I feel scammed by apple that they are keeping my year subscription payment and not willing to refund me and let me repurchase through the f1 app directly

I escalated it as hi as possible and she said they can help me at all and I need to contact F1 who then said they can’t help us since it was purchased through apple. Thanks for your suggestions but we’ve done them all already
