I’m not sure I understand what question you are posting.

Lots of things store data in iCloud. That allows apps to synchronize data across Apple devices.

Is there some concern with that particular item. I also don’t understand the concern that the code exists on GitHub. There is lots of code on GitHub. That’s the point of the site.
