Several IOS and MacOS versions ago I deleted the Apple News App. Now, after updating to IOS 15.5 and MacOS 12.3.1 I am greeted with a notification of Apple News headlines in the morning. I've looked in settings, notifications, and subscriptions and the is no sign the Apple News is there.
What can I do to stop these notifications?
Updated to macOS 12.5, now the News app cannot be deleted (easily it seems). However, at least now it appears in Notifications and I can turn its notifications off (supposedly).
iOS 15.6 was supposed to be installed last night, but the installation failed, reason not given. I'll try again tonight, perhaps I'll have the same results that I had with macOS.
FWIW, the current versions are iOS 15.6 & macOS 12.5.
