Will Find My be smart enough to identity that an AirTag belongs to a family member you are also following in the FindMy app? Too many times, my iPhone notifies me of my wife's AirTag while she is in the car with me.

Well … it’s not supposed to alert ANYONE if a “paired AppleID” device is within bluetooth range.
Is your wife’s iPhone signed-in w/ the same AppleID used to “pair” the tags? (i.e. Can she see the tags on HER phone within FindMy?)

Soo.. It does... A part of Apple's Find My Network, if an 'unknown' AirTag is nearby, your iPhone will alert you, "AirTag Found Moving with You." The issue I'm having is, every time my wife is with me, the AirTag on her purse shows that there is a AirTag moving with me. It gets a little annoying, and I'm hoping Apple will find a fix for this.

That said, this forum is full of posts citing examples of airtags not functioning quite as “advertised.”
My own tags don’t perform as they are “supposed to” either, although thankfully I don’t experience the same “alerting” issue as you; which indeed would be quite annoying.
So … is your wife’s phone in-range of her tag when it’s alerting YOU ?
