Acorn subscription on Apple TV

I’ve had an Acorn subscription through Apple (not iTunes App), and not first time issues with episodes of certain shows not playing and wanting me to purchase on other services but should be included. In this case latest episode of Brokenwood Mysteries.

There is a difference between subscribing to Acorn TV in the Apple TV app vs. subscribing to Acorn TV in the Acorn TV app. The former accesses copies on Apple’s servers, while the latter accesses Acorn’s servers. While named the same, these types of subscriptions are not exchangeable. If Apple hasn’t received their copy from Acorn yet, then the episode is not available yet through the Apple TV app Channel. You can contact the Apple Media Services staff about it, so they can contact Acorn TV about the missing episode (if that is how they handle such reports) .
