How to adjust size of a PDF image in Preview?

Hello,

I was reading this thread and trying to follow along in regards to the Adjust Image tool being grayed out and not an option. I saw Linc's reply that you cannot adjust an image size in Preview if it is a PDF? So what are you supposed to use as an alternative? Another app?

How to edit PDF? I'm looking for a tool to edit PDF and preview cannot do this. Is there any great PDF editors for this? I don't edit PDFs very often so it's better if it is free. Thanks in advance!

No option to set viewing PDF's using Preview in fullscreen to Continuous Scroll by default. When I open PDF's using preview and go to Full Screen, I have to manually change the view style to continuous scroll every time. Not able to find a setting where I can keep this as default.

You should export the pdf as an image; jpg, png, etc., then adjust that.

If the PDF file is of a picture only and not of a document with a picture in it the resize feature works:

FWIW, the file your showing starts as a .jpeg not a PDF. An image saved as a PDF will not resize.

But you are showing an image opened in Preview with animated size adjustment — not a PDF with an image within it as you stated.
