Apple is running me in circles. When I try to sign in under system preferences on my Mac Mini using my existing Apple ID and Password, I am informed my system is locked. I then proceed to go thru their steps to create a new Password for this Apple ID using my existing cell phone. Once completed I try to sign in to my Mac Mini and get the same messages. I have created 5 new Passwords with the same result. Also, my Mac Mini does not appear on my active device list. Only my cell phone

Yes I can sign into iCloud.com using my Apple ID and Password.

I can log into Settings on my iPhone using the same Apple ID.

Error messages: Log into IMessage on my Mac Mini (late 2012): "your Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. To unlock it, you must verify your identity. [unlock Account].

Next I unlock Account.

Next direction on my mac is to "Enter a trusted phone number to continue" I enter my iPhone cell number. Message on iPhone is to "Reset Password".

Action: I reset a new password and verify on my iPhone.

Action: Go back to my mac and try to sign in on iMessage, get the same messages. I have reset my Apple ID password six times, with the same result. Redefining Computer Insanity!

Additionally, I get no Apple mail, only Gmail.
