Booklet priniting option

Booklet option is not there in printing interface.


I just connected my brother printer to my macbook, i installed the drivers from brother website as system preferences said apple doesn’t have the drivers for same. Everything works, printer is conected but booklet option doesn’t show in the print interface in any application. It comes in adobe reader application but still not printing correcty in bookelt format, How to get it?

There is no default option for “booklet”.

I don’t have any Adobe software do I can’t say for sure but obviously that provides something it calls “booklet” but is probably just printing two pages per sheet.


There are some paid applications in the App Store for this.

For occasional use, it is not too hard to do it “manually”. For example, for 8 pages:

a) make a copy of the pdf file

b) open the copy in Preview, open the Sidebar and rearrange pages thus:

p 8

p 1

p 2

p 7

p 6

p 3

p 4

p 5


c) print and choose from Layout the option of 2 pages per sheet (and two-sided printing if supported)
