This ICloud backup will be deleted in 12 days

My mother has this message on her iPhone 12…”Ready for your new iPhone

Your data is ready to be moved

to your new iPhone. This iCloud

backup will be deleted in 12

days.”….and it keeps counting down days.

She has not ordered a new phone. What does she do? Will her data really be deleted? We just did an iPhone back up, but the message is still there.

We picked his iPad up from the Apple Store and had his new iPad set up there. Will my data get deleted if I don't transfer to a new iPad now? so she basically pressed that “transfer data” and it currently says “ready for your new ipad, this icloud backup will be deleted in 20 days” and she doesn’t want her stuff deleted, and we don’t have another device to transfer stuff too or whatever she was trying to update to ios 16 or smt (which she did this morning), here’s a photo for reference we don’t know what to do and if anything is gonna happen but she didn’t know what she was doing and we don’t want to transfer her data because we don’t have anything to transfer it to, what do i do!? With iCloud Backup ALREADY off, how can I get rid of the "Get Ready For Your New iPhone" message in Settings on iPhone 14? I just bought a new iPhone for my wife, and I copied a text Apple sent to her old phone to MY new iPhone, clicked on the link Apple provided, and it put THIS big message right under my name in Settings: "Get Ready For Your New iPhone" (see screenshot below), and I can't get rid of it! There is a long and ridiculous workaround available on this forum and on Reddit that asks us to turn off iCloud backup, but my iCloud Backup is ALREADY OFF, so what can I do to get rid of this bothersome message?! Will it be there forever?! IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm afraid to turn iCloud Backup on EVEN for a second because it is so incredibly invasive and presumptuous in how it alters your whole system! Please help!! Thank you.

Please upgrade to iCloud+

What happens to your temporary iCloud storage after you restore your backup. After you restore your temporary backup to your new iPhone or iPad, your temporary backup is available for 7 days before it's permanently deleted. If you want to keep using iCloud to back up your device, you can upgrade to iCloud+.
